Joey is a young pup who has your typical rescue story of...we aren't really clear on why he was given up. There are mixed stories. He does tend to play it cool, so it is hard to get a good read on him. He ignores other dogs when out and about but the reason why he was brought to the kennel is because he was getting into altercations with the other dog in the household. He is good with people, but he does give a look to certain new people or to things like strollers that makes you unsure of whether he is going to react or not. From what I can tell, he is just curious and has had people let him down in the past, so he is not quick to let you in and be best friends. He is currently enrolled in the Doggie U training program and will learn to trust outsiders again. Underneath it all, Joey has a ton of potential and can be a great dog. He has a volunteer that is coming to work with him on his basic skills as well as to get him to open up to people again. We shall keep you posted on his progress.
